Emergency Disaster Services Preparedness Coordinator (1337)
About The Position
This position is responsible for: Key Responsibilities: Coordinates, plans, develops, and supports The Salvation Army Preparedness and Recovery efforts for Emergency Disaster Services. Supports local unit with the preparedness activities of training, volunteer recruitment, engagement, and retention, and reviewing of plans and procedures for all aspects of preparedness. Provides comprehensive, structured, preparedness services. Develops comprehensive plans for training disaster workers and engaging volunteers. Serves as the primary representative across all agencies serving as a central-point-of-contact for The Salvation Army, Bradenton Florida Emergency Disaster Services training programs. Monitors and reports the progress of all preparedness activities for the Bradenton Area on a regular basis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, social services, and or education
- three years progressively experience at the project or agency level, specializing in Emergency Management, Disaster Services
- Or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Valid State Driver’s License
