About The Position

The Embedded Security Manager (ESM) will oversee all corporate Executive Protective Operations for the client’s enterprise. The ESM is responsible for oversight of 24/7 operational teams, identifying program gaps, implementing improvement plans, leading employee training, managing third-party vendors, developing budgets, and fostering strong relationships. This position reports to internal client stakeholders. Duties: Develop and implement security strategies to protect the organization's physical assets, personnel, and facilities.Create and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and crisis management protocols, in collaboration with other departments (e.g., IT, HR, Legal) to ensure integrated security measures are in place across the organization.Develop, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for security operations, including detailed incident reports, to senior management.Act as the primary point of contact for the security vertical during the establishment of the Crisis Management Team and maintain business continuity during high-impact incidents.Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of physical security systems (e.g., surveillance cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems).Audit current and future facilities to identify security gaps in physical barriers, procedures, policies, systems, and environmental threats.Manage internal and external investigations, including accidents, thefts, disturbances, discrepancies, and instances of criminal activity affecting the organization.Oversee physical security vendors and assist in contract negotiations and site evaluations.Embody the core principles of the physical security team and act as a liaison between internal and external partners.Collaborate with facilities during the build-out process for the Security Operations Center (SOC).Partner with local and federal law enforcement to advance investigations of criminal activities occurring on company premises or involving company assets.Maintain the highest ethical standards and demonstrate the ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.Support the company’s environmental health and safety program with audits and site assessments, as well as the risk program to proactively identify potential risks and mitigations.Demonstrate proficiency in security technology and computer systems (e.g., MS Office Suite, G-Suite, Genetec, Ontic, Ambient, Asana, Milestone and other common physical security systems).

Requirements

  • 8 -10+ years of experience in a corporate security operations management role or a combination of experience in security operations, law enforcement, or military.
  • Experience in management and oversight of logistical operations for 10+ Executives in a corporate setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, organizational management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional schedules, including holidays, nights, and some weekends, to adapt to the company’s operations.
  • Travel up to 25% for site inspections or on-site deployment may be required.
  • Experience in Executive Protection and event security services for corporate events, conferences, product releases, and more.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, suitable for executive-level interactions.
  • Proven experience in physical security management, including oversight of staff and security systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work autonomously, and navigate ambiguity effectively.
  • Experience in building and scaling operations in a high-growth, rapidly adaptive environment.
  • A track record of managing, coaching, and retaining talent.
  • Proven capability to handle confidential information with discretion and emotional intelligence.
  • Experience in change management, administration, and vendor management.
  • Familiarity with security program automation and implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize security technology and computer systems (e.g., Google Suite, Genetec, Ontic, Ambient, and other common physical security systems).

Nice To Haves

  • ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and/or an internationally recognized Security Management Certification.
  • Experience in corporate security management.
