About The Position

MSC Cruises North America seeks an experienced Email & SMS Marketing Specialist will support our North America Email and SMS programs for the Canadian market. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of email marketing experience, deep Marketo expertise, strategic planning and optimization skills, and professional fluency in English and French with the ability to translate marketing copy accurately. This is a contractor role requiring 4 days per week in the office, in Miami.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands‑on email marketing experience, preferably in travel, hospitality, or e‑commerce.
  • Deep, demonstrable experience with Marketo (programs, tokens, triggers, Smart Campaigns, templates).
  • Practical experience with SMS platforms, specifically Attentive, and integrating SMS into lifecycle campaigns.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with campaign reporting, A/B testing, and optimization.
  • Fluent in English and French, with proven ability to translate and localize marketing copy for French‑Canada.
  • Excellent attention to detail and QA skills (HTML/email rendering across clients, link tracking, personalization tokens).
  • Knowledge of email deliverability best practices and regulatory compliance (CASL, CAN‑SPAM, TCPA).
  • Ability to work onsite in Miami 4 days per week; available to start in March.

  • Experience with CRM systems and data segmentation.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics or other analytics platforms for campaign attribution.
  • Experience working with North American / Canadian markets and cultural nuances.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end‑to‑end email and SMS campaigns for MSC Cruises’ Canadian market: strategy, build, QA, scheduling, deployment, and post‑send analysis.
  • Lead segmentation, targeting and personalization efforts to maximize engagement and conversion across lifecycle and promotional campaigns.
  • Build, maintain and optimize Marketo programs, templates, and automation flows; ensure data integrity and deliverability best practices.
  • Develop test plans (A/B and multivariate), analyze results, and apply learnings to improve performance.
  • Produce clear campaign reporting and actionable insights for stakeholders (open, CTR, conversion, revenue, deliverability metrics).
  • Translate and adapt English marketing copy into professional French (and proofread French content), ensuring cultural relevance and brand voice consistency in French‑Canada.
  • Coordinate with creative, CRM, analytics, and regional teams to align on timing, offers, and cross‑channel messaging.
  • Maintain compliance with Canadian and U.S. email/SMS regulations (CASL, TICO, CAN-SPAM), privacy policies and internal guidelines.
  • Provide strategic recommendations for list growth, automation, channel integration, and lifecycle orchestration.
