Responsibilities

  • Works effectively within a School Based Decision making governance structure.
  • Establishes and maintains an effective learning climate in the school.
  • Initiates, designs, and implements programs to meet the specific needs of the school.
  • Provides sound instructional leasership.
  • Prepares and administers the school budget.
  • Supervises the maintenance of all required building records and reports.
  • Supervises all personnel assigned to the school.
  • Assists in the recruiting, screening, hiring, training, and assigning of personnel.
  • Complies with all provisions of the Kentucky Education Reform Act of 1990.
  • Administers the evaluation of Certified and Classified personnel in compliance with state and local regulations.
  • Assumes responsibilities for maintaining an effective professional staff development program for all staff assigned to the school.
  • Assumes responsibility for maintaining a safe and healthy school plant and enviroment.
  • Establishes and maintains a close working relationship with parents and the community.
  • Complies with all federal, state, and local laws/regulations.
  • Promotes attendance in an aggressive manner, with the goal to maintain a minimum 96% attendance rate.
