Oakwood School is seeking an outstanding full time elementary physical education teacher for our lower school. This position is for the 2026-2027 school year beginning in August 2026 with a required two-week training during the 2026 summer.

Demonstrated confidence and aptitude with the use of instructional technology
A minimum of 2-years of previous teaching experience at the elementary level or equivalent professional experience relevant to working with elementary school students.

Responsibilities

Plan, supervise, and implement curriculum as a physical education teacher.
Work in partnership and collaborate with other teachers, educators, parents, and specialists to develop curriculum, plan trips, and coordinate special projects as related to the position.
Work and communicate effectively with parents in formal and informal conferences, written reports, report cards, newsletters, and other school approved channels.
Be a positive and contributing member of the Oakwood community
Fulfill campus responsibilities including break supervision, crosswalk duty, or other duties as assigned
Participate in Admission events, including Open House, New Student Orientation, and applicant interviews
Attend various staff meetings, Back-to-School Nights, Open Houses, and other events as directed.
Other duties as assigned.
