About The Position

James Irwin Elementary School – Howard Campus is seeking an energetic and engaging Elementary Physical Education (PE) Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This teacher will promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy habits while delivering structured, high-quality instruction. The ideal candidate is positive, solutions-focused, and committed to doing what is best for students. This role includes teaching K–5 PE classes, organizing activities that build coordination and teamwork, and supporting a positive school culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• One of the following:
• Colorado teaching license with PE endorsement
• Degree in Physical Education or related field
• 36 credit hours in PE or related field
• Passing score on approved content exam (Praxis)
• Monday–Friday | In-person

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children preferred

Responsibilities

• Teach elementary PE (K–5)
• Plan and implement engaging physical education lessons and activities
