Requirements
- Completion of an accredited program in Cardiac Electrophysiology, Cardiovascular Technology, or related field
- Current RCES , IBHRE , or RCIS certification
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong understanding of cardiac electrophysiology, hemodynamics, and cardiovascular anatomy
- Proven experience operating EP lab systems and equipment in a clinical setting
Responsibilities
- Prepare, operate, and maintain electrophysiology (EP) lab equipment during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Assist physicians and the cardiovascular team during electrophysiology studies, including ablations and device implantations
- Monitor patient hemodynamics and cardiac rhythms, providing real-time data and feedback during procedures
- Accurately document patient information, procedural details, and equipment usage
- Ensure proper setup, calibration, sterilization, and maintenance of all EP lab equipment
- Adhere to established safety protocols, infection control standards, and patient care guidelines
- Participate in orientation, training, and ongoing competency assessments related to EP lab operations
- Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to efficient workflow within the department
