About The Position

Minnesota State College Southeast seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technology Instructor in our program, dedicated to excellence in teaching, who desires to become part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community. The instructor may earn unlimited status upon completion of six successful probationary semesters.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in electronics technology.
  • Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in electronics technology.
  • One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
  • Must meet the Teaching and Learning Competency Requirement prior to the end of probation.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree (or higher) in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Instrument Technology, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical biomedical equipment.
  • Soldering experience.
  • Computer networking, hardware, and software experience.
  • Previous teaching or mentoring experience
