About The Position

Koniag Advisory Business Solutions, LLC a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Biomedical Electronics Technician I to support KABS and our government customer in Lawton, OK. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. This position is covered under the Service Contract Act. Koniag Government Services is hiring a Biomedical Electronics Technician I to support the Indian Health Service (IHS), Lawton Service Unit (LSU). This position provides hands-on technical support for medical and diagnostic equipment across the Lawton Indian Hospital, Anadarko Indian Clinic, and Carnegie Indian Clinic. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career biomedical or electronics technician looking to grow in a regulated healthcare environment while supporting a mission-driven organization.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience working with medical or diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot electronic and mechanical systems
  • Manual dexterity and experience using hand and small power tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office or similar systems)
  • Ability to obtain a public trust

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in electronics or biomedical technology
  • Vocational, military, or on-the-job training in electronics/biomedical equipment
  • Experience in healthcare environments
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Prior IHS or federal healthcare experience

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, install, maintain, calibrate, and inspect medical and diagnostic equipment
  • Perform electrical safety testing using specialized biomedical test equipment
  • Support the preventive maintenance (PM) program for medical devices
  • Document all service activities in a CMMS in compliance with CMS and The Joint Commission (TJC) standards
  • Travel to remote clinic sites using a government-provided vehicle
  • Coordinate with the Biomedical Engineering team to procure parts, PM kits, and vendor services
  • Maintain professional conduct with patients, staff, and vendors
  • Participate in required technical, administrative, and safety training
