This position provides technical support to the Mission Support Services team in support of flight research missions through the Dryden Aeronautical Tracking Range (DATR). This includes supporting, maintaining, and development of the mission control centers, telemetry, and radar acquisition systems, data distribution and recording systems, mobile operations facilities, and other mission support systems. This role is located at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center on Edwards Air Force Base, near Palmdale/Lancaster, CA. As a part of this team, you will be required to work a 9/80 schedule with typical hours of 6:30am-4:00pm with occasional overtime (weekdays or weekends) to support mission flight operations.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent. Completion of formal training in an accredited commercial or military electronics school and 1 year of related work experience
  • Knowledge of PM and troubleshooting procedures for communications and uplink system, digital recording systems, HF, VHF, UHF transceivers and supporting Antenna Systems
  • Must be U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance required
