Overview Summary Lays out, rigs up, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies oilfield production electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems, such as computer equipment, data acquisition instrumentation, flow tubes, densitometers, pressure transducers, test equipment, and other various hydraulic fracturing machinery and controls, applying principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, mathematics, electronic and electrical testing. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Additional duties may be assigned as necessary): Troubleshoots, repairs and calibrates sensors at an entry to intermediate level, to include but not limited to: pressure, temperature, speed, density, viscosity, pH, level position, float, counting devices, hydraulic control, photo cells, flow rate, differential pressure, pressure switches under the direction and guidance of the Lead Electronics Technician and/or Supervisor. Performs use of Data Van control software to include: installation, configuration, and remote usage, pull and analyze log data files and configuration files from a Data Van or other unit. Assists other electronics personnel on equipment capabilities and usage to include Data Van software. Performs tracking and accountability of repair parts, ready spares and consumables. Communicates equipment status details and directions in a clear and coherent manner. Maintains daily work logs, paperwork requirements, and work orders on a timely and efficient basis. Coordinates with appropriate personnel in regards to completing work requests, troubleshooting and upgrading equipment. Coordinates with other technicians and Lead personnel regarding equipment status, emergency repairs and best practices of equipment usage. Displays knowledge of circuits, systems and components utilized on the fracturing equipment. Analyzes and modifies standard circuitry to improve its performance. Performs maintenance of computer systems including software and hardware updates. Completes preventive maintenance and visual inspections using authorized procedures, preventive maintenance forms, and reporting media. Reads, comprehends, and interprets blueprints/drawings, schematics, and procedures and relates them to the facility/equipment and have the ability to troubleshoot non-standard electronic devices or devices for which documentation is incomplete or not available. Sets up and runs tests with occasional supervisory and/or engineering support. Performs failure analysis and communicates findings effectively using standalone reports and/or other software.
