About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and technical Electronics Hardware Test Engineer II to join our team at Spartronics in North Logan, Utah. This key role is essential to our strategic plan for product validation and quality assurance and will involve comprehensive responsibility for test development and execution. The ideal candidate will excel at developing, implementing, and executing test procedures to meet product requirements, in alignment with schedules and customer specifications.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in hardware testing or a related field.
  • Programming experience in C/C++, Python, or Visual Basic.
  • Proficiency in using test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
  • Experience with manufacturing test implementations.
  • Deep understanding of circuits, schematics, and digital/analog systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
  • Team-oriented mindset with good interpersonal skills.
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments, problem-solves, resolves issues, and demonstrates good business ethics.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills; must be able to navigate the Internet efficiently and effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in aerospace, military, or medical device electronics.
  • Exposure to ISO 9001, AS9100, or ISO 13485 standards.
  • Proven experience in RF (Radio Frequency) test development and test automation methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor test yields and defect data, including yield improvement, process improvement, data integrity, and production validation.
  • Recommend, design, develop, and implement intermediate product-specific test processes.
  • Provide result-based data and test support to internal and external Spartronics customers.
  • Provide training to production employees.
  • Investigate and implement new technology and techniques to improve test coverage, reduce cost, and increase efficiency.
  • Perform root-cause analysis of test failures.
  • Engage in company-wide Continuous Improvement initiatives and follow 5S standards.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Must be U.S. persons within the definition of ITAR, with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
