About The Position

This position involves the repair of various home and automotive electronic equipment. Key responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing units according to standard United Radio procedures, performing necessary software updates, and documenting findings to report to manufacturers. The role also requires performing clerical duties to ensure proper data integrity related to repairs. The Electronic Technician is expected to be an active participant in the essential functions of the position, including making recommendations for improvement, and must adhere to United Radio's Core Values. Job-sharing duties may be assigned based on divisional needs, and other related duties may be requested.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to co-workers.
Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Possess the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the job successfully.

Responsibilities

Repair various home and automotive electronic equipment.
Perform some soldering of SMT (Surface Mount Component) chip components.
Document findings and report them to manufacturers.
Ensure proper data integrity by performing clerical duties as they relate to repairs.
Be an active participant in the essential functions of the position, including recommendation for improvement.
Perform software updates.
Diagnose and repair units in accordance with standard United Radio procedures.
Promote and adhere to United Radio's Core Values.
Perform job-sharing duties as determined by the needs of the division.
Perform related duties as requested.
Other duties may be assigned.
