About The Position

KEMET Electronics Corporation is seeking an Electronic Maintenance Technicianâ in the Simpsonville, SC location.â â The Electronic Maintenance Technician willâ be responsible forâ maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic and mechanical systems within our manufacturing facility. This role requires a strong understanding of both electronic and mechanical principles to ensure the smooth operation of all equipment.â This opening is onâ the weekendâ shift.â â This shift worksâ two 12-hour shifts over the weekendâ as well as one 8-hour weekday shift.â â Training will be onâ the 1stâ shiftâ (Monday through Friday,â 8:00â am –â 4:30â pm).

Requirements

  • Associates Degreeâ inâ Mechatronics orâ Electronic Engineering Technology
  • Two or more years of manufacturing experience
  • Experience with industrial troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment
  • Mechanical experience and proficiency
  • Solid working knowledge of computer and PLC based equipment/systems
  • Ability to read and follow schematics, interpret wiring diagrams, followâ test proceduresâ
  • Proficient with PLC andâ HMIâ programming software, as well as Microsoft Office Tools
  • Ability to work with teams and effectively document and communicate results

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Industrial Network systems and MES systemsâ a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on electronic and mechanical equipment to ensureâ optimalâ performance
  • Diagnoses and repair faults in electronic circuits, control systems, and mechanical components
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment toâ identifyâ issues and perform necessary repairs
  • Maintainâ accurateâ records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and equipment status
  • Assistâ in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.â
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities
  • Provide technical support and training to other maintenance personnel as needed
