About The Position

Under general supervision, performs electronic and mechanical assembly operations on printed wiring boards, subassemblies, and final assemblies in accordance with specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or IPC certification preferred.
  • One to three years of related experience in electronics assembly or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly instructions, and process documentation.
  • Basic math skills and proficiency with hand tools and measuring instruments.
  • Ability to monitor own work for accuracy and thoroughness; collaborate to resolve issues and support improvements.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Lift and move up to 25 lbs regularly; occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Good vision for detailed work, including color differentiation.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic components, circuit boards, and wiring harnesses per schematics, work instructions, and IPC-A-610 standards.
  • Perform soldering, crimping, tinning, and conformal coating using approved techniques.
  • Apply adhesives, masking/de-masking, and install hardware as required.
  • Operate hand tools and production equipment safely and effectively.
  • Conduct functional testing and inspection to ensure compliance with AS9100 and FAA requirements.
  • Maintain accurate production records and complete data entry for assembly operations.
  • Follow all safety, ESD, and regulatory guidelines, report unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Keep work area clean and organized in accordance with 6S principles.
  • Meet productivity and quality standards; monitor own work for accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve assembly issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet production schedules.
