About The Position

The Electro-Mechanical Technician (EMT) is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electromechanical equipment, systems, and machinery that integrate electrical and mechanical components. The role requires a combination of electrical and mechanical skills to ensure the efficient operation of machinery and equipment across various industries, such as manufacturing, automation, and robotics.

Requirements

  • Certification in an area relevant to maintenance is preferred (i.e., electrician)
  • Previous experience in maintenance that includes inspecting and testing equipment or building systems
  • Excellent time management skills and adept at coordinating and following multiple deadlines
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to follow specific, technical specifications and instructions
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments, and clearly communicate technical information, issues, and solutions. Must be able to work well in a team environment and contribute to achieving common goal

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Electromechanical Technology, Robotics, or Industrial Maintenance
  • 3+ years in manufacturing, preferably food or beverage
  • Experience using Allen-Bradley PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), sensors, and servo motors.
  • Mechanical Systems: Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, compressors, and conveyors.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP), and OSHA safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems to ensure smooth operation and reduce downtime
  • Inspect machinery and equipment to ensure it meets industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements
  • Operate and perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment, electrical equipment, and pneumatic systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning systems or equipment, including identifying faulty components and replacing them
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues with both electrical and mechanical systems
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts used
  • Document all inspections, repairs, and modifications to systems and equipment
  • Ensure production efficiencies are met by performing preventative maintenance tasks
  • Aid in coordinating work performed by outside vendors to overhaul production equipment
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
