As our Electro-Mechanical Reliability Technician in Fort Wayne, you are the go-to problem solver who keeps machinery, material handling equipment, and facility systems running at peak performance. A Day in the Role Begin with preventive and predictive checks to reduce unplanned downtime across production and facility systems. Jump into hands-on diagnostics—mechanical and electrical—on conveyors, motors, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation/PLC-driven equipment. Interpret schematics, blueprints, and OEM manuals to find root causes fast. Partner on new installs and machine changeovers; contribute ideas for continuous improvement initiatives. Close the loop: complete work orders, document all repairs, and communicate clear status updates to supervisors. Lead with safety, rigorously following all procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols. What You’ll Tackle You’ll troubleshoot production machines, material handling assets, and facility systems—electrically and mechanically—to restore function quickly and prevent recurrence. Your expertise will span motors and drives, hydraulics and pneumatics, and PLC/automation components. Your Toolkit Includes PLC troubleshooting skills plus PLC programming and PLC wiring experience. Heavy equipment repair and broad maintenance and repair skills. Mechanical troubleshooting expertise for motors, bearings, conveyors, and related assemblies. Electrical troubleshooting and electrical repair across industrial environments. Fluent with 120/208/240/480 voltage systems and other high voltage systems. Pneumatics troubleshooting and hydraulics know-how. Boiler troubleshooting experience. Solid industrial electrical experience, including reading and applying schematics and diagrams.
