Electro‑Mechanical Maintenance Technician
About The Position
Essity is seeking an experienced Electro‑Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our production team. This role is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance activities across the facility. The core focus is on electrical and electronic systems, including the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of paper‑making and converting equipment. The ideal candidate will reside in or be able to commute to the Harrodsburg, KY area. Schedule: This position operates on a rotating schedule, alternating every two weeks between day and night 12‑hour shifts.
Requirements
- HS or GED Diploma required
- A minimum of five years of experience in an Industrial electrical technician role.
- Must be able and willing to work possible 12-hour shifts along with Overtime, weekends, days or nights.
- Able to perform regular physical tasks such as lifting, standing, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching.
Nice To Haves
- Journeyman Industrial Electrician is a plus
Responsibilities
- Work with operations, engineering, contractors, vendors, and other maintenance resources to support a 24/7 paper manufacturing operation.
- Support and troubleshoot operating motors, drives, and other logic-controlled variable effort equipment.
- Responsible for maintaining & troubleshooting the equipment in their area of responsibility
- Works towards a Zero-breakdown & Zero-Stop-mentality
- Works to standards and assures the team works to it (Safety, Quality, CL, CILs… etc) and secure the availability of standard technical documentation
- Works securely with the expert maintenance tools (SAP-PM, SOP’S) and participate in high quality Root-Cause Analysis for technical- and process-problems
- Supports & suggests and implements improvements (e.g. Safety, Technology, Process) and assures legal compliance on maintenance works
