About The Position

About our group:Seagate is seeking an Electrician Lead for our R&D facility in Bloomington, MN. This role supports Seagate’s Recording Head Operations within a 700,000+ square-foot, highly technical facility operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.About the role - you will: Lead a team of electricians in daily activities. Prepare work orders and interface with internal customers. Coordinate building repairs with vendors. Manage parts inventory, order tools/parts, and submit purchase requisitions. Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and installations of electrical systems, including pumps, motors, VFDs, PLCs, and control panels. Diagnose complex electrical issues in collaboration with other groups while mentoring team members. Maintain tools and supplies; promote continuous improvement in safety and environmental practices. Respond to emergency calls for spills, leaks, and other hazards. Complete service requests using a computerized system. Partner with the Facilities Safety Manager to ensure compliance with safety procedures. Collaborate with Project Managers on department-related projects. Perform miscellaneous duties such as safety inspections and building grounds work. Adhere to all environmental and safety rules and regulations. About you: State of Minnesota Class “A” Journeyman’s License or Master Electrician Class “A” License required. Minimum of a 2-year VO-TECH certification or recognized apprenticeship. 4–6 years of industrial and/or commercial experience. Fire Systems Controls experience; NICET Level 1 preferred but not required. Proficiency with control systems, motor controls, PLCs, VFDs, and instrumentation. Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Your experience includes: Reading blueprints and floor layouts. Installing facilities and production equipment. Knowledge of the National Electrical Code. Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment. Assisting facility personnel in daily operations. Installing raceways, 480v/208v power, VFDs, and fire alarm systems. Working independently with minimal supervision. Ability to work at heights and lift up to 50 lbs. Serving as an Emergency Response Team (ERT) member. Strong customer service skills. High attention to detail and thoroughness in work execution. Strong organizational, execution, and documentation skills.

Requirements
