Requirements

  • Preferred-Electrician Industrial License
  • Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) or technical training and 5 + years of recent experience in an industrial/manufacturing maintenance position required
  • Must have completed a minimum of the following courses from an accredited and approved educational source or demonstrated knowledge and skill acquired via sufficient job experience:
  • Demonstrates ability to select and operate appropriate hand, power and specialty tools and diagnostic equipment to complete job tasks.
  • Possesses an operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery, and electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Demonstrates ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and work orders.
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively communicate issues and solutions to team members.
  • Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possesses the ability to troubleshoot, disassemble, and reassemble manufacturing equipment.
  • Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work effectively under limited supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures reliability of machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance on machinery and systems.
  • Performs tasks including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals, diagrams, sketches, engineering specifications, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Use hand tools and measuring instruments to determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts.
  • Assembles, installs, adjusts, and calibrates mechanical and electrical machinery and equipment.
  • Dismantles, repairs, rebuilds, and replaces equipment and parts as needed.
  • Adheres to all plant safety policies.
  • Participates in plant-wide safety, housekeeping, Operational Excellence, and Lean Manufacturing programs.
  • Provides assistance and guidance to junior maintenance colleagues.
  • Execute preventive Maintenance to machines and electrical cabinets such as clean up electrical cabinets, re-tight all electrical terminals, replace damaged devices, organize cables, ensure all components are perfectly grounded, replace bad sensors, replace control and power cables going to the field.
  • Manage Work orders on eMaint platform to report all executed tasks on the machines.
  • Must be familiar with Programable Logic Controllers (PLC), must be able to diagnose bad input/output card.
  • Execute predictive maintenance to Main power cabinets using thermographic camera.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults on machines and electrical devices.
  • Root cause analysis for major breakdowns on machines.
  • Replace and configure Servo drives, VFD’s and HMI’s.
  • Replace and Troubleshoot 480 VAC motors, 120 Vac motors.
  • Replace and troubleshoot servo motors.
  • Basic Electrical and Industrial Safety, AC DC Circuits and Machinery, Electrical Troubleshooting Ability to troubleshoot control circuits, motors, motor control circuits, and other electrical and electronic systems.
  • Install and maintain electrical systems and controls.
  • Read electrical blueprints and schematics and apply NEC requirements.
  • Perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical theory and principles, statutory codes and principles of operation of electrical equipment.
  • Analyze circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings to install, repair, calibrate, service and replace electronic devices and systems.
  • Dismantle, inspect and replace electrical machinery and replaces defective electrical or mechanical parts
  • Lays-out, assembles, installs, tests, repairs, and adjusts electrical fixtures, apparatus, equipment, wiring, and to include panels, breakers, and conduit.
  • Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits, equipment, and motors using appropriate tools and testing instruments
  • Troubleshoot and repairs electric controls, motor control centers, and programmable logic controls.
  • Examine work orders and converse with equipment operators to detect equipment problems.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment to detect and prevent problems.
  • Maintain equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests.
  • Calibrate testing instruments and installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
