About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring the proper mechanical functioning of plant equipment and machinery and to troubleshoot any electrical/electronic malfunctions, completing appropriate repairs and maintenance.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of controls experience in manufacturing programming, ladder logic, motor controls
  • Minimum 2 years of PLC troubleshooting
  • Installation and programming of variable frequency drives including Allen Bradley, Siemens and Schneider, Lust Controls
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety procedures, operating and maintenance instructions
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and electrical principles
  • Manufacturing/industrial environment experience desired
  • Physical requirements include lifting up to 65 lbs., extended standing, walking, sitting, bending, climbing, working inside and outside, and use of fall protection equipment
  • Able to perform job tasks in dusty, hot and/or cold working conditions
  • Must wear company provided personal protective equipment - earplugs, hard hat, safety boots/shoes, and protective glasses
  • Candidates must provide their own safety boots/shoes upon hire and will be eligible to participate in Safety Boots/Shoe Reimbursement Program after 30 days of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Technical or vocational school certification preferred
  • Manufacturing/industrial environment experience desired

Responsibilities

  • Testing and measurement of AC/DC utilities
  • Testing and measurements with multi-meters and OME meters
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment, hand tools to determine root cause
  • Perform routine electrical preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure safe operation, reliability, early failure detection, and reduce unplanned downtime on equipment
  • Perform necessary maintenance tasks including but not limited to the repair or replacement of defective and damaged parts, adjustments, and calibration procedures, assemble, install, test, and execute preventative maintenance tasks on various forms of manufacturing equipment
  • Review and comprehend blueprints, electrical schematics, repair manuals, and parts catalog
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
