About The Position

Doe Run is looking for an Electrician III to lead and assist with the installation, repair and maintenance of Doe Run electrical Equipment in order to ensure process safety and minimize division downtime. This position is located at Brushy Creek Surface location in Boss, MO. The Doe Run Company is a privately held natural resources company and a global provider of lead, copper, and zinc concentrates. Dedicated to environmentally responsible mineral and metal production, Doe Run operates the Resource Recycling facility, one of the world’s largest, single-site lead recycling centers, located in Boss, Missouri. The company also owns six operating mines in one of the world’s largest lead mining districts, also in Missouri: Brushy Creek, Buick, Casteel, Fletcher/West Fork, Mine 29/Viburnum and Sweetwater. The Doe Run Company and its subsidiaries deliver products and services necessary to provide power, protection, and convenience. Doe Run has operations in Missouri, Washington, and Arizona.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Successful completion of Level II of the Doe Run Electrician Training Program OR at least 2 years of proven hands-on non-residential electrical experience after completion of an accredited technical program (including, but not limited to journeyman, apprenticeships or other approved programs).
  • Successfully complete all required testing for program entry and level III.
  • Proficient mathematical skills & the ability to calculate (e.g., addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions).
  • Advanced measurement skills (using tape measure and calipers).
  • Proficient troubleshooting & problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment (e.g., forklift, manlift).
  • Proficient in applying electrical concepts & principles.
  • Proficient knowledge of the National Electric Code.
  • Proficient knowledge of MSHA (SEMO) regulations.
  • Ability to read, interpret, & draw schematics & blueprints.
  • Ability to troubleshoot HVAC systems, medium voltage circuits/equipment, PLC, semiconductor & process controls.
  • Proficient knowledge of hydraulics/pneumatics.
  • Ability to bend, cut, and install conduit.

Nice To Haves

  • I-Series/AS400/PeopleSoft experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot equipment problems.
  • Lead and assist with scheduled and emergency maintenance and repairs of electrical equipment and power distribution systems.
  • Install and/or modify new equipment and existing equipment.
  • Manage time and dollar resources in order to provide effective, timely, and efficient repair and maintenance services.
  • Assist with project planning.
  • Take callouts as needed.
  • Complete tasks in a safe and environmentally compliant manner by following EHS (environmental, health, and safety) policies, procedures, and best practices; support and assist peers in working in a safe, compliant manner; report unsafe acts or conditions, incidents, and deviations; and provide feedback to support continuous improvement in EHS performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
