About The Position

The Electrical Lead is a hands-on leader responsible for performing electrical work while simultaneously directing daily activities of the electrical team. This role balances production work, crew leadership, and field support, ensuring electrical installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with production schedules.

Requirements

  • 5+ years electrical experience (modular, residential, or light commercial)
  • Prior experience leading a small crew while working in the field
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and installation methods
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and production drawings
  • Hands-on leadership (lead while working)
  • Strong work ethic and productivity mindset
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting
  • Communication and team coordination
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in modular or prefab construction
  • Experience with multi-unit production environments
  • Journeyman Electrician license

Responsibilities

  • Actively perform electrical installation alongside crew: Rough wiring, device install, panel terminations, Lighting, outlets, and system connections
  • Lead by example in productivity, quality, and workmanship
  • Step in to support any station to maintain production flow
  • Direct and coordinate 2–6 electricians or helpers on the floor
  • Assign daily tasks based on production schedule and priorities
  • Train and mentor team members on best practices and standards
  • Ensure crew meets daily output and quality expectations
  • Work across stations (rough, trim, finish) as needed
  • Maintain production pace and prevent bottlenecks
  • Communicate delays or constraints to production leadership
  • Adjust manpower in real-time to keep units moving
  • Lead electrical scope during module set and field installation: Interconnection between modules, Main service and feeder connections, Panel tie-ins and system startup, Finish interior / exterior electrical trim out and installation of smart home system
  • Troubleshoot and resolve field issues quickly
  • Ensure installations meet National Electrical Code (NEC) and local inspection requirements
  • Inspect own work and crew work for accuracy and consistency
  • Ensure all work meets company standards and code requirements
  • Prepare units for inspection and resolve punch list items
  • Follow and enforce safety practices aligned with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
  • Promote safe work habits and proper PPE use
  • Identify and address hazards on the floor and in the field
