About The Position

The Electrical Wireman Level 2 positions involve assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, following NEC regulations, and using various tools. Candidates should have a basic understanding of electrical systems, proficiency with tools, and strong attention to detail and safety. Wireman 2 can perform more tasks independently, demonstrates growing electrical knowledge, and requires less supervision than Level 1.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Has worked as an AP1/W1 approx. 1 year
  • Has basic knowledge of electrical material.
  • Ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs., ending, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, and pulling.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced electricians.
  • Has own apprentice tools as specified by the company.
  • Basic math skills for measuring and calculating electrical loads.
  • OSHA Certified Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with basic installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
  • Follow NEC requirements under supervision.
  • Use basic hand tools and assist with power tools.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts.
  • Help inspect for visible damage or safety hazards.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and tools.
  • Communicate issues or needs to senior team members.
  • Wear proper PPE and follow all safety rules.
  • Continue learning to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
