As a Power Electronics Intern at OmniOn Power, you will work with the R&D Engineering team supporting them on the product development and evaluation of technologies for AC/DC and DC/DC converters-based power supplies. This is an onsite role based in Plano, Texas. The internship is estimated to begin towards the end of May 2026 through beginning August 2026, lasting 10 weeks. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a B.S, M.S or Ph.D. program in Electrical Engineering, in the US
  • Must be able to work out of the OmniOn Power HQ located in Plano, TX during the duration of the internship
  • Power Electronics background: Coursework/ projects in power electronics
  • Familiarity with AC/DC and DC/DC topologies, required
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in teams
  • Effective communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Power converter hardware design, SiC or GaN experience, preferred
  • Magnetics design, preferred
  • Power converter control, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Participate in product and technology development projects
  • Support prototypes development
  • Conduct laboratory tests following all required safety protocols
  • Model, design and test power converters
  • Present the technical results
