About The Position

This position requires a strong background in manufacturing with a major emphasis on electrical and electro-mechanical components and assemblies. This position requires experience in manufacturing of electrical assemblies, electromechanical components.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing and testing of electromechanical assemblies.
  • Education: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Must be able to work on a variety of electromechanical/electronic assemblies (wire harnesses, pcbs...)
  • Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics and GD&T.
  • Must have strong knowledge of both analog and digital theory.
  • Must be able to use test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital meters, and power supplies .
  • Working knowledge of ERP System (SAP preferred).
  • Strong process management, process improvement, problem solving and cost reduction skills.
  • Knowledge in design of jigs and tooling for electrical applications used for assembly of the final product.
  • Must be able to perform basic measurement and inspection processes.
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in creation of Manufacturing Planning for product realization.
  • Must have experience with MIL-STD documents, reading and interpretation of ASME Y14.5.
  • Must be able to write engineering reports that include analysis and results.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting production of electromechanical/electronic equipment (airborne and land based) and ensuring products are built to specifications and engineering documents.
  • Testing and troubleshooting analog and digital electronics down to the component level
  • Reviewing Test Requirement specifications and writing test plans, test procedures and test reports.
  • Establishing methods of test and equipment required to accomplish them.
  • Documenting test results and test progress reports.
  • Performing failure analysis and write a report including corrective action.
  • Assessing assembly and test processes, performing time studies and recommending lean practices to improve process.
  • Providing feedback to improve product design for ease of manufacturing.
  • This position entails breaking down customer engineering requirements per drawing to create manufacturing planning, bills of material (BOM), liaison with manufacturing personnel to improve processes, troubleshoot assembly problems.
