Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Supervisor (Industrial 480V Systems) Position Summary The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing industrial electrical systems up to 480V, leading a team of electricians and engineers to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant electrical equipment. This role is hands-on and field-oriented, with limited design responsibility.
Requirements
- Valid Electrical License / Journeyman Electrician certification (state-recognized).
- Hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems up to 480V.
- Strong practical background, developed through field work rather than purely academic training.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
- Experience leading or supervising electricians or technical staff.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical codes and safety requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial plant environments.
- Familiarity with PLC panels, MCCs, VFDs, and automation-related electrical systems.
- Experience working in a shift-based or 24/7 operation.
- Basic understanding of electrical system design and modifications.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support daily electrical maintenance activities for industrial power systems (up to 480V).
- Lead and manage a team of electricians and electrical engineers across shifts.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, NEC, OSHA, and company procedures.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues related to motors, panels, MCCs, VFDs, and industrial equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
- Coordinate maintenance planning, breakdown response, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Support equipment installation, commissioning, and electrical upgrades.
- Train and mentor electricians, promoting skill development and safe work practices.
- Communicate with engineering, production, and EHS teams to support plant operations.
