Industrial Maintenance Supervisor
About The Position
TekPro is partnered with a renowned manufacturer in the St. Louis area in their search for Maintenance Managers! The shift manager will oversee electrical or mechanical maintenance and reliability across high-volume production operations. These are hands-on leadership roles within a large-scale industrial facility that runs continuous operations supporting heavy industrial production and finishing lines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance, team leadership, and troubleshooting in heavy manufacturing environments. $90k–110k base + 1.5X overtime pay, 8–12% profit sharing + 6% 401(k) contribution
Requirements
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance or electrical experience, preferably in steel, foundry, power, or heavy manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of motors, drives, PLC systems, and high-voltage distribution
- Proven supervisory or team leadership experience
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
Responsibilities
- Electrical Lead and support union electricians during line-downs and outages
- Primary focus on DC cranes, generators, DMCs, and modern drive systems
- Strong emphasis on arc flash safety, LOTO, and proper meter selection
- Rotating 12-hour shifts (days & nights) in a plant restart environment
- Mechanical Hands-on troubleshooting during breakdowns and line-down events
- Support and coordinate union mechanical trades on-shift (~15-40 technicians depending on department/shift
- Equipment focus: cranes, gearboxes, pumps, valves, and flow meters
- Exposure to natural gas and hydrogen systems
