About The Position

Brady Corporation is looking for an Electrical Engineer for our Engraving
Solutions business, which includes our MECCO and Gravotech brands. The position
is responsible for the design and implementation of electrical and control
systems for our Custom Solution engraving machines. The Electrical Engineer will
be successful in this position by leveraging their expertise in the creation of
electrical schematics, design and construction of prototypes, and validation of
products by performing various electrical tests.

Requirements

• Support our Engraving Solutions business through the entire product development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing, production, and ongoing support

Responsibilities

• Design electrical schematics and layout drawings in AutoCAD-Electrical CAD software for release to Production Department
• Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts
• Specify electrical components such as circuit breakers, relays, contactors, sensors, and power supplies
• Produce and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and supporting technical documentation
• Program automated systems using Allen-Bradley PLC as well as other PLC Programming Software
• Collaborate within the custom solution engineering team to ensure design accuracy and alignment with project requirements
• Support Production in build and test phase
• Occasionally provide support to the service team, including performing service work such as inspections, installations, and start-ups
• Visit customer locations as needed (10% travel)
