About The Position

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for an Electrical Engineer (Design) opportunity to support the Savannah River Site. Work Location: Aiken, SC Application Deadline: 12/03/25 (by 5pm ET) Electrical Engineer (Design)- Duties: Engineering analysis, walkdowns, design development and generation of design output documents including but not limited to: Single Line Drawings; Electrical Equipment Lists; Control System Design; Electrical Equipment Specifications; Bulk Material Specifications; Circuit/Raceway/Wiring/Connection Design; Grounding; Heat Tracing; Fire Detection

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or current registration as a Professional Engineer in Electrical Engineering.
  • Five (5) years' design experience in the nuclear or process chemical industry.
  • Provide engineering services to assigned SRMC Engineering Teams which include engineering analysis, design development, and generation of design output documents in the following areas: 480 Volt Power distribution system design including Circuit protection, Analysis, and Coordination
  • Develop Single Line, Schematic and wiring diagrams
  • Equipment layout and Raceway design
  • Electrical Equipment specifications and Procurement
  • Working knowledge of National Codes and Standards for electrical design such as IEC, NEC, NFPA, NEMA, IEEE, and OSHA.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of NEC code requirements.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to walk-down systems in the field.
  • Individual at times will be required to travel off Site to interface with vendors, fabricators and other Engineering organizations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in 2D MicroStation Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CADD).
