About The Position

Applied Engineering is seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. You’ll collaborate across engineering disciplines, vendors, and clients to deliver solutions that drive measurable impact. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will design, develop, and validate electrical systems and components across diverse projects. You will create schematics, layouts, and technical documentation while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be central to integrating electrical designs into larger systems, and you will provide technical estimates, resource planning, and cost analysis to support project delivery. In addition, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by refining workflows and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (required)
  • 4+ years of professional experience in electrical design engineering
  • Proficiency with CAD tools and electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and timelines simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder collaboration
  • Capable of working independently and as a team member
  • Strong work ethic and unwavering integrity
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a learning mindset
