POSITION OVERVIEW: Assemble all electrical components as needed. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform manual processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies, using hand, electric and pneumatic tooling. Reports defective material or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedule with minimum supervision Other duties as directed by supervisor. JOB SKILLS Ability to establish methods and procedures Familiarity with assembly and measuring tools, interpretation of visual aids and ability to perform simple shop math. Good command of the English language, both written and verbal is required. Competency in reading and interpreting engineered drawings, schematics or other technical documents. EDUCATION & TRAINING High school diploma MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Minimum three months of related factory experience for Level 1 position. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work performed in a shop environment; Exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable; May work at different workstations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another, during the assembly process; Physical effort equal to frequent moving of up to 50lbs materials; Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach; The use of Safety Glasses is required; The use of earplugs is recommended; Ability to stand up to 10 hours a day (with a lunch in between) and up to 6 days a week; Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment.
