Now Hiring: Electric Power Generation (EPG) Outside Sales Representative – Houston, Texas (EPG Sales | Generator Sales Representative | Power Generation Solutions | Outside Sales – Generators) Mustang Cat is a trusted leader in power generation solutions, specializing in commercial and industrial-grade generator systems. As we continue to grow, we’re hiring an experienced Electric Power Generation (EPG) Outside Sales Representative to help customers design and implement customized power solutions that keep operations running. This is a high-impact role ideal for a relationship-driven professional with strong technical knowledge and a passion for delivering value through generator systems and electrical power equipment. ⚡ What You’ll Do as an EPG Outside Sales Representative: As an EPG Sales Representative, you’ll serve as the face of Mustang Cat’s power division—identifying customer needs, recommending solutions, and closing generator projects across a wide range of industries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of successful outside sales experience—preferably in generators, electrical systems, or power equipment
  • Strong technical understanding of generator systems and electrical/mechanical power components
  • Demonstrated success in sales presentations, pipeline management, and closing deals
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain technical systems to all audiences
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM tools and Microsoft Office
  • Highly motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in the field

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, site plans, and load calculations (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop new business in the commercial and industrial generator market
  • Conduct site assessments and recommend appropriate generator solutions
  • Prepare and present technical sales proposals tailored to client needs
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with contractors, engineers, facility managers, and key stakeholders
  • Negotiate and close deals involving Caterpillar generator systems and services
  • Stay informed on new products, industry trends, and competitor offerings
  • Collaborate closely with internal project, service, and installation teams to ensure customer satisfaction
