About The Position

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Electric Distribution Planner I to join our Electric Distribution Team in Blacksburg, VA, where you’ll play a key role in supporting utility infrastructure projects across diverse field locations. Requirements

Associate’s degree or combination of High School Diploma and relevant work experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
No experience required, but prior internships or applicable coursework in power distribution preferred
Valid driver’s license required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required; experience with ArcGIS preferred
Ability to learn new Work Management systems and technical tools such as AutoCAD and SAP quickly
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative mindset
Ability to work in various weather conditions

Nice To Haves

Experience with Distribution Design Studio (DDS) a plus

Responsibilities

Travel regularly to client sites to assist in field surveys of electrical distribution networks using advanced tools and technology
Coordinate new service requests and third-party activities to support grid modernization
Interpret as-built documents and analyze electric distribution data using client GIS systems
