About The Position

The EKG Tech operates electrocardiography equipment to record electromotive variations in heart muscle actions. This role also involves assisting with the coding, filing, and distribution of EKG data. Furthermore, the EKG Tech assists in emergency situations by initiating and/or supporting emergency procedures as outlined by Emory Healthcare policies.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Current AHA/ARC BLS certification
• Successful completion of an HHC Basic Rhythm Interpretation Course or CLEP Exam within nine (9) months of hire
• Utilizes a variety of diagnostic equipment and office supplies

Nice To Haves

• May attempt to satisfy requirements to become a Certified Cardiograph Technician as set forth by the National Society of Cardiovascular Testing and Cardiology Credentialing International upon completion of training period
