EKG Tech - Cardiology
About The Position
This position involves operating electrocardiography equipment to record the electromotive variations in heart muscle actions. The EKG Tech will also assist in the coding, filing, and distribution of EKG data. A crucial aspect of the role is to assist in emergency situations by initiating and/or supporting emergency procedures as prescribed by Emory Healthcare policies. The job is part of the integrated operations of Emory Healthcare and Houston Healthcare, with Houston Healthcare serving as a premier health organization in Middle Georgia since 1960, providing care to over 300,000 patients annually across two main hospitals and seven campuses with a combined capacity of 282 beds.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current AHA/ARC BLS certification.
- Successful completion of an HHC Basic Rhythm Interpretation Course or CLEP Exam within nine (9) months of hire.
