About The Position

Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking a EHS Manager to join our team in Woodridge, IL. Relocation assistance available within US. The expected annual salary range for this role is $97,000 - $143,000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. The EHS Manager is a member of the Woodridge Leadership Team responsible for leading the safety, security, health and environmental policies of the Woodridge Distribution Center in conjunction with the Eaton Corporation Global Security requirements and MESH guidelines to drive a Zero Incident Culture for the purpose of making the facilities a safe and productive place to work. Additionally, the EHS Manager is responsible for maintaining compliance with all local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. The EHS Manager covers the entire Woodridge facility including the distribution center, R&D labs, and D-IT headquarters office and will report directly to the Site Manager. The successful candidate demonstrates strong knowledge of state and federal occupational environmental, health, and safety regulations, along with workers’ compensation administration, and applies this expertise with analytical rigor and a data-driven mindset. What you’ll do: Provide policy and regulatory guidance in MESH to facility management. Lead annual evaluations of MESH Programs. Ensure MESH MOC Process is implemented. Coordinate the training of all personnel in the required safety, health and environmental policies. Develop/maintain plant emergency response plans and ensure drills are performed to document plan effectiveness. Serve as the plant emergency coordinatorInvestigate incidents (including near misses, property damages, injuries, environmental incidents) to determine root causes and prepares and implements corrective action plans Coordinate and assist with corporate initiatives, participating on teams in order to drive best practices across Eaton Corp. Develop/maintain all required written safety plans, e.g., Hearing Conservation, PPE Lead the deployment of MESH element champions and teams and facilitate their engagement in ownership of the activities required to maintain compliance and drive continuous improvement. Lead creation of annual targets and objectives in support of corporate, regional and business group EHS strategic initiatives designed to drive culture, compliance and results. TRCR, DACR, Performance Influence Conversations, Training Completion Rate, Observations and Actions Closure Rates This role could be the next step in your career if you demonstrate the following experience:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 2 years of environmental, health or safety experience or a combination of those functions
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or distribution center
  • Previous leadership and/or supervisory experience

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution
  • 2+ years of experience in an EHS Management role
  • Third-party safety certification such as CSP, ASP, or OSHA-30
