About The Position
The student intern will be responsible for completing an annual compliance-required audit of the chemicals used and stored at the Skokie facility, then use this data to develop a site chemical inventory.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and take initiative on new tasks
- Able to work in an engaging, fast-paced, and learning-oriented environment
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a complete chemical inventory for the Skokie facility to include both Manufacturing and Distribution operations.
- Cross reference the chemical inventory against existing Safet Data Sheet (SDS) documentation to identify gaps or outdated records.
- Obtain and add current and updated SDS documentation to the company SDS library as needed.
- Conduct environmental, safety and health audits as required including Preventable Serious Injury and Fatality (PSIF) and Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) audits.
