About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking an EHS Analyst. This role will take place out of our growing facility in Sumter, SC. We are able to offer relocation assistance for qualified candidates within the United States. The EHS Analyst is responsible for leading, implementing, and continuously improving all aspects of the site’s Environmental, Health, and Safety programs. This role provides technical expertise, drives compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements, partners with leadership to influence culture, and ensures robust risk reduction initiatives aligned with a Zero Incident Culture. The position plays a critical role in deploying the MESH (Management System of Environmental, Safety and Health) framework and in supporting operational excellence across the facility. The EHS Analyst is accountable for supporting EHS activities at site including: monitoring EHS objectives and targets, internal reporting of EHS performance, ensures plant level EHS programs, policies, procedures and systems are developed, implemented and sustained to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulatory requirements and conformance with Eaton Corporation mandates. This position is also responsible to maintain site ISO/OSHAS certification along with supporting the creation of strong EHS culture that engages employees throughout the site. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Environmental, Health, or Safety in a manufacturing environment or a combination of those functions.
  • Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated success in hazard identification, risk reduction, and incident investigation.

  • Strong data analytics, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Lean fundamental understanding.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience with MESH, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or similar management systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and promote a zero-incident EHS culture across the site through active leadership and engagement.
  • Champion and lead initiatives that strengthen and sustain the site’s “Zero Incident Safety Culture” programs.
  • Investigate all accidents and near misses, identify root causes, and lead 8D processes for all recordable incidents to ensure effective corrective actions.
  • Support implementation and ongoing improvement of MESH (Management System of Environmental, Safety, Security, and Health) using established tools and processes.
  • Track, analyze, and report leading and lagging EHS performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support EHS data management, analysis, reporting, and training while providing technical expertise across the organization.
  • Serve as the Environmental Health & Safety Management Representative for all third-party certifications and manage internal audit programs.
  • Support corporate and site compliance audits, including closure of findings and evaluation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Review environmental permits and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance, proper documentation, and timely submission of required reports.
  • Partner with leadership and MESH element champions to complete annual EHS compliance evaluations for country, state, and local regulations.
  • Support the creation and deployment of EHS goals for site leadership, functional managers, and front-line supervisors to drive accountability and results.
  • Motivate and coach employees by leveraging recognition and reward programs to promote desired safety behaviors, engagement, and performance.
