As an EHS Specialist, you’ll be part of our Environmental Health & Safety team working as an on-site employee. You’ll get to: Work with the workers’ compensation provider to assist with the administration of WC claims process. Provide industrial athletic and ergonomic training. Manage and administer employee health programs and health testing. Ensure the plant’s compliance with State and Federal regulations and procedures concerning environment, health, and safety. Coordinates and facilitates the activities of EH&S Committees and Staff. Conduct individual and group training sessions on Environmental/Safety for all employees to upgrade and/or develop new skills. Works with safety consultants, vendors, and other technical, educational, and governmental agencies to secure educational support and resource personnel needed for approved compliance programs, i.e., State & Federal Safety/Environmental, EH&S Guidelines. Participates in root cause analysis and recommends changes & improvements. Performs Job Safety Analysis and other EHS projects/initiatives. Ensure compliance, follow up, and close out to internal and external audits as it relates to EHS. Maintain relevant EHS logs and KPI reports monthly or as needed. Including reports on Energy, waste, and water data. Measures the effectiveness of safety/environmental courses to ensure training is being utilized on the job. Administer safety incident reporting program and EH&S audit/self-inspection program. Responsible for preparing reports related to EH&S performance and communicating with management.
