EH&S Intern (Summer 2026)(Onsite)
About The Position
Join the Avionics division as an EH&S Intern this summer at our Wilson, NC site. This role is onsite and may be eligible for relocation. What You Will Do: You will assist in executing procedures, EH&S training and communications on subjects required by regulations such as confined space, respiratory protection, compressed gases, electrical safety, ergonomics, etc. You will review performance against company and regulatory requirements and raise potential non-conformance issues. You will complete multimedia EH&S risk assessments, You will conduct regulatory required inspections and audits as needed. You will create internal KPI metric reports for leadership review. What You Will Learn: You will learn how to interpret EH&S regulations and apply in real life manufacturing operations. You will learn foundational EH&S professional duties. You will learn how to navigate a matrixed complex organization. You will develop interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization. You will learn how to work with an experiences team of subject matter experts.
Requirements
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Nice To Haves
- Microsoft Office Suite products, especially Excel.
- Rising junior or rising senior.
- Environmental/Health/Safety major – environmental science, environmental engineering, natural resources, health and safety management, etc.
