About The Position

Reporting to the Chief Diversity Officer, the EEO and Title IX Specialist is charged with assisting the Affirmative Action Officer and Title IX Coordinator ensuring that the College is in compliance with all applicable equal opportunity, civil rights and human rights laws and regulations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years related experience. A broad range of academic fields may prepare the candidate for the position, but the ideal candidate will have had experience with public administration or behavioral sciences.
  • Knowledge of gender/sexual violence matters in institutions of higher education.
  • In-depth knowledge of non-discrimination laws and equity compliance requirements for higher education institutions.
  • Excellent judgment and the ability to manage and impart confidential information.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion, and interact effectively with diverse populations, while consistently displaying sensitivity, neutrality, and cultural competence.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare reports and other materials to educate search committees and hiring managers on affirmative action and equal employment opportunity guidelines.
  • Prepare all statistical reports to assist in preparing the College's annual Affirmative Action Plan, which involves gathering all necessary data from the HRIS (Banner) system, performing a data audit to ensure accuracy, providing the analysis for the development of the written AAP.
  • Track and maintain a variety of information for document preparation, reports, analysis, appointments, and related tasks.
  • Collect data from college departments and/or external contacts, analyzing information, and compiling complex reports.
  • Coordinate and first line of contact in monitoring the recruitment, hire, promotion, and termination process to ensure compliance with various regulatory and statutory requirement.
  • Research, analyze and develop recruitment sources in accordance with equal employment opportunity compliance.
  • Coordinate in training various campus constituents, including, senior administrators, disciplinary committees, sexual misconduct hearing and appeal panels on the Nondiscrimination and Anti-Harassment and Sexual Misconduct Response policies.
  • Coordinate with investigations of discrimination, discriminatory harassment, sexual harassment, and sexual misconduct.
