About The Position

Join us as an EEG (Electroencephalogram) Technician at the VA Puget Sound Healthcare System located in Seattle, WA. Provide on-site Electroencephalogram Services to eligible beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs. W-2 and 1099 employment options available. Duties and responsibilities: Operate electroencephalograph and related devices and equipment to record electrical activity of the brain. Perform routine and non-standard procedures (EEG and EP). Includes awake, sleep, portable, and ECS. Perform routine long-term monitoring, LTM/CCTV – EEG monitoring. Includes 10/20 electrode placement. Report specific patient outcome information, such as complications to the Service Line Chief. Perform on-line analysis to obtain necessary data for correct diagnosis of patients. Work closely with physicians from Neurology Service and the Epilepsy Center of Excellence. Follow all established laboratory and/or hospital guidelines in completing “admin duties” for each test performed. Aid with inventory of laboratory supplies. Schedule: Full-time, 7A-3:30P or 7:30A-4P Mon-Fri. Overtime possible after hours, weekends, and federal holidays as needed. Period of Performance: 5 years w/ 12-month increment renewals. 6/1/2026-5/31/2031. Our provider network consists of over 700 providers in various medical specialties and degree types. They conduct diagnostic-only examination services on an as-needed basis. These services may take place in their private office, established clinics located across the country, or during travel opportunities for group screening events. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • AAS in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology preferred.
  • Must possess American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) R. EEG T.
  • Current BLS required.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent EEG Technologist experience.
  • Able to pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Subject to background/security investigation.
  • Selected applicants will be required to complete an online onboarding process.
  • Willingness to comply with Department of Veterans Affairs vaccination programs for seasonal influenza and COVID-19.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

  • AAS in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology preferred.
