EEG Technician - Per Diem

Lowell General Hospital-Saints Campus is seeking an EEG Tech to join our Sleep Lab team on a Per Diem basis! Job Overview This position obtains standard and special procedure EEG recordings including Evoked Potential recordings. Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year of experience as an EEG Technologist.
Responsibilities
- Makes the appropriate calibration procedures of the EEG apparatus for special and standard recordings.
- Adapts procedures to particular circumstances by adding electrodes in non-standard locations to devise the appropriate recording techniques.
- Assists medical staff during special procedures by providing extra monitoring and extra electrode application.
- Participates in research by collecting data such as case history, whether patient is left or right-handed, etc.
- Gives direct technical descriptions of EEG changes to surgeons as they occur during monitoring.
- Inspects and ensures proper maintenance of EEG and related equipment.
