About The Position
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled EEG Technician to join a Neuro Diagnostics team in a hospital setting. This role involves working with both pediatric and adult patients and may require floating between units. The technician will perform a wide range of neurodiagnostic procedures in routine and critical care environments.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of EEG experience
- Certifications: ABRET, BLS, R.EEG T
- Experience with collodion/glue EEG hook-ups
- Comfortable working with all patient populations
- Ability to float between units as needed
- First-time travel nurses accepted if requirements are met
Responsibilities
- Perform EEG studies including routine, long-term monitoring, and neurotelemetry
- Assist with Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU), sEEG, and Ictal SPECT procedures
- Provide care for trauma and critical care patients
- Prepare patients and apply EEG electrodes using collodion/glue techniques
- Monitor and document patient activity accurately
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
- Maintain and ensure proper functioning of EEG equipment
