Requirements

Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Technology program or equivalent
Registered EEG Technician (R. EEG T.) through AAET
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in neurodiagnostic testing
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (Healthcare Provider)
Registered EEG Technician (R. EEG T.) through ABRET (must be maintained)
Certified Long Term Monitoring (CLTM) Technician through ABRET
Minimum of five (5) years of EEG Technician experience
Ability to work irregular hours and under stressful conditions
Certified Neuro Analyst (CNA) through ABRET
Minimum of seven (7) years of EEG Technician experience
Including at least two (2) years of CLTM EEG experience

Responsibilities

Review EEG studies for technical quality, completeness, and clinical relevance
Manage EEG data, including accurate documentation, labeling, storage, and reporting
Collaborate with physicians and communicate critical or urgent findings per established protocols
Maintain compliance with ABRET standards and departmental policies
Function as a resource and leader to residents and EEG staff with data management.
Provides leadership and education to EEG Technicians and Trainees at MUSC, MUSC RHN sites and Tele EEG Sites.
Facilitates and develops education for Neurology Residents and Fellows.
