About The Position

WorldStrides is the global leader in educational travel and experiential learning, founded in 1967 to offer middle school travel programs and now serving over half a million students annually across 100+ countries. The company provides experiential learning programs in educational travel, performing arts, language immersion, career exploration, service-learning, study abroad, and sports, aiming to broaden students' perspectives. WorldStrides is seeking driven, motivated inside sales professionals for the Educational Travel Specialist (ETS) role. This full-time position involves developing relationships with educators to promote WorldStrides' programs, thereby enabling students to have once-in-a-lifetime travel experiences. The successful ETS will generate new business within an assigned territory by making daily outbound calls to teachers, utilizing proven talk tracks and sales practices to guide them through the process of setting up and offering these impactful opportunities.

Requirements

  • Highly motivated, self-starter with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, coach and direct others to achieve desired outcomes
  • Ability to excel both individually and as part of a team
  • Ability to balance multiple, competing priorities in a fast paced work environment
  • Willingness to learn and accept coaching to apply proven sales strategies
  • Enjoy talking on the phone
  • Some seasonal evening/weekend work required
  • Previous experience with phone sales, telephone sales, telesales and outbound calling required
  • Experience with basic computing functions, including MS Office and CRM applications required

Responsibilities

  • Achieve all sales goals and develop new clients
  • Develop qualified leads through referrals, phone calls, cold calling, email and networking
  • Follow up on leads from website and lead generation team and convert leads to sales
  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and prioritize activity
  • Maintain and grow profitability
  • Maintain daily and weekly pipeline and activity reports
  • Operate as an expert
  • Complete client needs assessment to then prepare and present proposals which meet group requirements
  • Host meetings with parent, student, and administrative groups
  • Identifies and recommends products to meet market demands
  • Recommends territories that should require marketing campaigns
