Requirements
- Must possess a high school diploma
- Passing score on Instructional Aide Proficiency Exam, 2 years college (48 units), or AA degree or higher
- Basic certification in American Sign Language (ASL) or related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of deaf culture and sensitivity to the needs of deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
- A score of 3.5 or above on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) or Educational Signs Skills Evaluation (ESSE-1).
- Must possess a valid California driver license
