About The Position

CCI Group is a professional language services provider with over a decade of experience supporting public sector and educational clients nationwide. We partner with school districts to ensure effective communication access for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, enabling full participation in instructional and school-related activities. Position Summary CCI Group is seeking qualified K-12 Educational Sign Language Interpreters to support students within Lake County Schools. This role focuses on providing communication access services in alignment with each student’s IEP, 504 Plan, or documented educational needs, allowing students to engage fully in classroom instruction and school activities.

Requirements

Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other approved communication methods as required by the student
Experience in K-12 educational settings strongly preferred
Familiarity with classroom terminology and school environments
Reliable, professional, and able to work on-site during school hours

Nice To Haves

State or national interpreting certification
Educational interpreting credential or assessment
Prior experience supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing

Responsibilities

Provide professional sign language interpreting and communication access services for deaf and hard-of-hearing students in K-12 settings
Support communication between students, teachers, peers, and school staff
Work across instructional environments including classrooms, assemblies, small-group instruction, and school events
Follow school schedules, district policies, and educational protocols
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional and ethical standards
