About The Position

Responsible for the education of specific audience as related to specialty. Responsible to teach/instruct using appropriate and approved curriculum for specific audience. Posting Specifics Pay Rate: Based on Experience Shift Details: PRN position Teach classes one to two Saturday mornings a month from February thru November. Rotate teaching one to two mid-morning weekday or Saturday classes during the Summer months. Willing to periodically sub at other hospital locations in the Salt Lake and Utah County hospital locations. Department: Utah Valley Hospital Education Dept. Additional Details: Will be required to attend one in-person department training per year at McKay Dee Hospital. Caregiver will be trained in CPR and in the course curriculum. Minimum Qualifications Demonstrated ability to instruct others. Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills. Six months previous healthcare field experience. Job Essentials Teaches approved curriculum and reviews/revises as appropriate. Keeps materials up-to-date and adequately stocked. Maintains material and supplies, cleaning as necessary and storing appropriately. Organizes meeting space and meeting set-up needs. Completes all tracking/monitoring documentation as needed. Reviews evaluation forms and other feedback and responds appropriately to improve the program. Works with their supervisor to do an overall course review and make appropriate revisions to the curriculum and class materials at appropriate intervals and whenever requested. Arrives promptly including time for room and audiovisual preparation prior to classes. Comes well prepared to teach each session. Preferred Qualifications As applicable: BLS Certification - or - Childbirth Educator Instructor Certification - or - First Aid Instructor Certification - or - Fitness Instructor Certification Physical Requirements: Hearing/Listening, Speaking.
